Case Description

The widowed Lady Margherita was stalked and pursued for months by Lord Stefano Ghisi who persistently pursued her and surrounded her house with armed men with the intent to kidnap her and make sexual advances. As a result she was forced to lock herself away in her house with a retinue of armed men. After sneaking out to attend communion on the 19th of May 1610, Lady Lavinia Savega was mistaken for Lady Margherita attempting to sneak out again four days later and accosted by Ghisi's thugs.

Motive

Sexual desire; Lavinia was mistaken for Margherita as she also wore a black veil when headed to church.
