Case Description
The Ruffoni brothers Bartolomeo and Giovanni Battista ordered their mercenary Francesco Jorighino to attack Father Basilio, the Vice-Prior of the Franciscan Friars of Busolengo, and to have him threaten the witnesses being examined in a case against the Ruffoni for their crimes. They summoned Basilio to their house and when he refused the brothers and the Jorighino brothers and other armed henchmen cornered the victim while out walking. They pursued him armed with cocked arquebuses and he narrowly escaped and hid himself.
