Case #3529
Case Description
One manner in which Bartolomeo and Giovanni Battista Ruffoni oppressed and controlled the local peasants of the Pescantina area was withholding their wages and simultaneously prohibiting them from working for any other employers. Alternatively, they coerced peasants to enter into partnership with their own horse-handlers. Giacomo "Ginardon" Pena was driven from the village on account of this.
