Case Description

Giovanni dal Zocco assaulted Federico Maimero after confronting him in the fields of the late Giovanni Francesco Scari in Tregnago. He demanded that Maimero, with coercive threats of violence, withdraw his criminal complaint against dal Zocco. When Maimero refused to be pressured dal Zocco assaulted him with a club savagely and left him with wounds which left him bedridden and on the brink of death. Dal Zocco fled to Bolfino afterwards.

Motive

enmity & legal dispute - the victim reported and filed a criminal complaint against dal Zocco who had ignored two legal mandates against him regarding a civil lawsuit.
