Case Description

Battista dell'Aglio was assaulted inside the house of Messer Paolo Chiaricalo by a dozen men on horseback with short and long arquebuses after one of them decieved him under the pretext of friendship. The attackers were known outlaws condemned to capital punishment by multiple sentences. The victim was wounded in the left arm by one shot and refused to testify in a public trial as they outlaws promised to kill him or any other witnesses who revealed their identities.
