Case Description

Ser Giacomo Giuran and Juane Lanfranco led an assault party of sixteen men in attacking the house of Francesco Merovin and those inside. Armed with arquebuses they fired at Merovin through the windows and attempted to batter the building's door down to get at him and kill him, but failed.

Motive

Merovin defended the village in a lawsuit over 1,500 campi of marshland against Lanfranco
