Case Description

While discussing legal business Giacinto Storti was assaulted by Signor Carlo Torri in the latter's home with a stiletto. Storti with only his cloak for defense fended off the assault while fleeing from the house. Torri, in violation of his house arrest order, chase Storti across the Porta del Pallio and when the victim fell to the ground began stabbing at him. Storti blocked the thrusts with his bare hands resulting in them being "entirely perforated and pierced through," but was able to prevent a mortal wound until bystanders pulled Torri away.

Motive

Torri was enraged after Storti presented to him the legal rights of the latter's orphaned nephews, information relevant to a civil lawsuit involving said nephews. Torri reportedly brought up that subject and his rage against Storti did not have "probable cause."
