Case Description

While traveling home after dinner Signor Flaminio Marogna and Signor Nicolò Marogna were ambushed with arquebus fire by Giacomo Cavalli, his sons Zannetto, Francesco, and Nicoletto, and their unidentified bravi. Flaminio was killed and Nicolò miraculously survived with five bullet holes in his clothing.

Motive

Cavallis lived in intense enmity with the Marogna due to "ambitious, competitive contentions regarding social salutations, honorific precedence, and other matters" and because they wished to have full authority over the district of Negrar.
