Case Description
Don Girolamo Brandi, Vice-Chancellery Notary, was shopping at a tailor's near the main public square when he was assaulted from behind by a hired hitman. The man attacked with no words and beat the victim with a wooden club.
Motive
Brandi had legally delayed the public auction and sale of certain pawned collateral assets that had been seized under a State warrant. This angered Spolverini who then hired the assassin.
