Case Description

This was an attempted and failed assassination. While at the shoemaker workshop adjacent to his house, Camillo Lavori was fired at by an assassin on horseback dressed as a wayfarer who had a pistol overloaded with five shot. All the balls missed and the attacker fled with speed while Lavori was unharmed.

Motive

Lavori had been involved, along with his brother and three others, in an incident six years earlier in which an arquebus shot was fired at G.B. Sega. The shot missed and Lavori was banished, but Sega refused to make peace and held onto his grudge openly.
