Francesco Brentarolo was ambushed by four masked men armed with arquebuses and bladed weapons in the district of Santa Maria in Organa while walking to the Oratory of Santa Libera. He suffered multiple wounds and died within hours.
Motive
Suspicion that the victim was killed on the orders of powerful people.
