Case Description
The physician Lord Francesco Magna was smothered by his wife Elena, her lover Cristoforo, and their associate Aurelio. They hid the victim's body by dropping it in the Adige river and stole his money as well. They were aided by two unnamed millers who let them moor the boat used to dispose of the body at their mill.
Motive
Elena and Cristoforo were having an affair. They wanted the physicians money as well as him out of the picture to pursue their relationship.
