during the festival of St. James, as the youth were "grabbing the chicken from the perch", three/four shots were fired and two of them hit Stefano, one in the spine that went right through, another in the leg, and he died

apparently Stefano was a cattle-thief; taking out anger on the whole family? Revenge for socio's attack; socio is Stefano's bro-in-law
