the massaro hears that someone has been killed, rings the bell, goes to the scene where he finds the dead body and Domenica his wife, who tells Massaro it was Domenico dall'Albergo who did with a ronchetta

Motive

dall'Albergo got into a fight with Domenica the other day after di Manni shouted at and maybe hit his little brother, who was supposed to be watching cows but allowed them to do some danno dato on the land; di Manni went to go get some man-to-man talk and ended up dead
