Biagio and his brother were hanging out outside the church when Girollamo and his brother Perino arrived, with a ronca and a pitchfork, and attacked them

Motive

Biagio says Gerollamo accused him of cutting down some "maggi" that he had planted outside someone's door, and that is why he attacked
