Case Description
Alessandro Rossi finds the dead body; witness describes how earlier he and the victim and some others from the Collegio di Spagna were out on a giro in carozza, and while returning to the collegio they were stopped in the street by Paris Maria Grassi et al and harassed, called "cuckold Spaniards" etc, but did not fight at the time because they were outnumbered and had no swords; they returne to the college, got swords, went to Conte Costanzao Bentivoglio's palace to get some support, he wasn't home, they took off and went around the city, and at the Palazzo del S.r 40 Ghisleri, they find an armed crowd of fifteen or twenty guys, and there is tense standoff at the gate of the Collegio, and then there is a fight; the Spaniards are outnumbered and eventually flee, and Sandoval gets left behind
Motive
anti-Spanish antagonism among young nobles, I think - 30 years war type stuff
