Luca and Gio Francesco were taking some wool loaded on a horse and Luca was on a horse, and they needed to pass through Silvestro's field to get to the road; not for the first time, Silvestro said "you can't cross my field," and, fed up with this recalcitrance, Luca got off his horse and shot Silvestro in the back
