Case #342
Case Description
Giovanni Minozzi and Battista Ballavolto are walking through Duncatola late at night to their friend Simone Nathali's house on the land of the Frati Minori of San Francesco. At the "rastello" of the street - a grate, a portcullis, a hurdle - there was a lay father blocking the bridge, who harassed them as they passed, saying he didn't want them to continue their voyage, and that they would come to harm, and beating the road around them, and then, without his habit on, he pulled out an arma brama and came at them saying "I'll do it to to you, I'll harm you in another way" and the two took off running and shouting "help". Domenico Malaguzi heard this and came to investigate and help, and the Friar turned on him, and to defend himself, Domenico , after saying "many good words" had to shoot the friar in the chest.
