while Anibale and a couple others were escorting two ladies home, Giuseffe Maria Pinetti came out of nowhere and attacked Giovanna with a sword; Anibale rushed to her defence and stabbed Giuseffe three times; Giuseffe made it to S Maria Maggiore and died
