Case #3485
Case Description
Zuanne Raffaldo and Zuan Piombin were both having a sexual affair with the daughter of Catta Pranda and "some words of little satisfaction" had previously "passed between them." On the night of the murder Raffaldo left Pranda's courtyard at Ronchiaram and not long before Piombin had also left that same place. The men ran into each other with Piombin accompanied by Peitro Furlan and both were armed with arquebuses. Furlan seized Raffaldo's arquebus with one hand and demanded "Who goes there?" and upon Raffaldo replying, "Friends, go with God!" Furlan broke away and fired at Raffaldo. Piombin also fired his arquebus at Raffaldo. The former's shot struck Raffaldo in the left arm and side, a wound which he died to on September 12th, and Piombin missed.
