Case Description
Signor Don Girolamo Boldiero was murdered in his own home by Girolamo Cherubino of Valeggio with an arquebus. Cherubino was accompanied to Boldiero's house by Antonio from Castiglione delle Stiviere and two unidentified others.
Motive
Debt - Cherubino held a debt with Boldiero and assigned that debt to Giovanni di Coi Beccaro in the village of Volta. Boldiero agreed that to satisfy the debt he would send a certain number of animas to Beccaro, however when he sent the, he also sent word that he did not intend for Beccaro to withhold or subtract anymore money from the value of the animals which fell below the value of the debt. Cherubino refused to agree to this and was incensed leading to the decision to kill Boldiero.
