Case Description
Monsignor Silvestro Valier ordered his servant and steward Nicolo Grego to kill Mattio Moneda. This was on account of Valier's love for and affair with Moneda's wife Donna Laura Gabriel. The homicide was hidden for years.
Motive
Valier was in love with Moneda's wife Donna Laura Gabriel. He had a sexual relationship with her which angered Moneda greatly. Valier decided to have Moneda killed so that he could continue his relationship with Gabriel with greater freedom and convenience.
