Case Description
Ser Alvise Foscarini, along with unknown accomplices, assaulted Doctor Giovan Battista Peranda and a servant of Ser Troilo Foscarini who was traveling with him. Peranda was returning from a visit paid to Troilo Foscarini's wife and the servant was accompanying him, carrying a lit torch. While they were exiting the bridge of the Madonna di San Lorenzo, Ser Alvise and his accomplices jumped them wearing masks. They wounded one of the servant's fingers and were able to snuff out the torch. Ser Alvise then descended upon Peranda leaving him with six wounds, including two life threatening ones.
